Fresh Fruit

I just got an email from Google, outlining the new updates they will be doing to Google Analytics. I'm super excited about everything that they're adding, so I wanted to outline a few of the updates:

Real-Time Analytics: You will now be able to track the activity on your site, with up to the second updates. This is awesome for evaluating user experience. Gotta love the cloud.

Multi-Channel Funnels: This applies especially towards eCommerce sites. You will be able to track data about customer interaction, which they call "conversions." Every customer that goes through your website and completes a transaction through the eStore is considered a conversion. This is trackable for up to 30 days, so even if a customer initially clicks a link but doesn't buy the product for a month, you'll be able to see what they did on your site for those 30 days before buying the product. Really useful for updating how your eStore functions, and creating a more dynamic funnel to the checkout.

Mobile Reports: Finally, Google is paying more attention to SEO on mobile phones. User data in this category will even include which brands and models of phones are being used to access your site.

Flow Visualization: Now, this one's insane. The basic idea is that you will now be able to track specific traffic patterns, learning exactly how your users interact with your site. You really have to see it in action to understand, so here's a tasty little video for your consumption:
