It's been a loooong time. Let me get you up to date on everything that's been going on:
I've had mono for the past few weeks, so I've been sleeping almost completely 'round the clock.
Let's try to get back on track, shall we?
Most recent buzzworthy news is apparently the divorce of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries. Now, normally this isn't really my kind of news. However, it's interesting from a marketing and advertising perspective because Kim was paid something like $20mil in media related fees for getting married. She sold her wedding photos, got paid by E!, even got paid to "advertise" a jewelry brand that outfitted her with dozens of carats worth of diamonds for her ceremony.
On top of all this, a wedding that would have cost $10 million under normal circumstances cost SIGNIFICANTLY less due to all of the discounts and free stuff Kim received for the wedding. PLUS all the gifts the bride and groom got.
Which brings me to my point. It seems as though Kim and Kris (or maybe just Kim, taking Kris through the ringer with her) got paid to put on a show and have a fake wedding. The marraige only lasted over 2 months. It seems pretty fishy....what do you think?
